Agile and the Future

Agile and the Future by Arie van Bennekum Co-author of Agile Manifesto and Global Thought Leader Agile is not new anymore, Agile has landed. So what's next? Just to be noted, Agile is not a state. Agile is a mindset with a large impact.

Liquid Organizations

It is simple, to be able to fast deliver innovative products and services that provide a digital experience to customers and employees, any organization needs to change their DNA from solid to liquid state, being careful not to become gas.

Interview with Arie Van Bennekum

"An agilist that says "I know it all" is not an agilist." - Arie van Bennekum, author of the Agile Manifesto and Agile Thoughtleader at Wemanity, gives an overview of Agility's development through the years, of its ecosystem and mindset.

The complexity in the simplicity of Agile?

Looking at Agile, it is so simple. In fact Agile is just structured common sense. Still so many people struggle to get their success in Agile. What is going on? The point is Agile, with all its simplicity, is based on different paradigms and the old paradigms hinder.

Integrated

As one of the authors of the Agile Manifesto, Arie has become an expert in international Agile transformations. One of his visions is changing people is impossible, they will only change when they can see there are motivations to do so. If so, what does it take to change a complete organisation?

Agile20Reflect Festival: Is the Agile Manifesto Still Fit for Purpose?

It’s been nearly 20 years since 17 software engineers got together for a weekend in a ski resort. The aim was to understand how they could change their ways of working to help them deliver software more effectively. The result was the Agile Manifesto.

Since then, many organisations have been inspired by the benefits of Agile. The promise of shorter lead times, better alignment between IT and business, and improved staff morale. Many businesses have therefore tried to adopt the Agile way.

We gathered a panel of experts, including one of the original signatories to hear their experiences. We asked whether their changes have worked and most importantly what lessons they have learned.

20 years of Agile Manifesto Event

On 25th February, Empowering Agile hosted an event in celebration of the first publishing of the Agile Manifesto exactly 20 years ago. Both featured speakers Andy Hunt and Arie van Bennekum were part of the original team that created the Agile Manifesto.

During the event, we took a look back at the starting idea, how it progressed and also discussed where it will go next.
